Equine Reiki
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that is used to support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being for both humans and animals.
I see it as a way of creating space for the recipient’s body and nervous system to slow down, settle, and return to a more natural state of balance.
When the recipient feels safe and relaxed, the body shifts out of stress mode. Breathing slows, muscles soften, and stress hormones reduce. This relaxation response is well documented in both humans and animals and plays an important role in physical and emotional well-being. Reiki sessions, whether hands-on or at a distance, are designed to encourage this state.
In a hands-on Reiki session, I place my hands lightly on or just above the recipient. With animals, this is always done in a way that respects their comfort, boundaries, and choice. There is no manipulation or pressure.

Most horses respond exceptionally well to Reiki - from competition horses, retired ponies, happy hacks and your fun riders! Like humans, animals often respond naturally in their own way.
It can help in many ways - both emotional and physical. Particularly as emotional distress and illness often manifest as physical symptoms.
Reiki is excellent for relaxing and calming your horse and is beneficial for:

Equine Reiki is non-invasive and uses no pressure or manipulation. It is a holistic therapy treating the cause of the problem and not just the presenting condition.
It heals the horses on many levels - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is suitable for all equines and works safely alongside veterinary medicine and Western or Chinese medicine.
