Human Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that is used to support relaxation, balance, and overall well-being for both humans and animals.
I see it as a way of creating space for the recipient’s body and nervous system to slow down, settle, and return to a more natural state of balance.
When a recipient feels safe and relaxed, the body shifts out of stress mode. Breathing slows, muscles soften, and stress hormones reduce. This relaxation response is well documented in both humans and animals and plays an important role in physical and emotional well-being. Reiki sessions, whether hands-on or at a distance, are designed to encourage this state.
In a hands-on Reiki session, I place my hands lightly on or just above the recipient. This is always done in a way that respects your comfort, boundaries, and choice. There is no manipulation or pressure. My role is not to force change, but to offer calm, focused attention in a safe and supportive way.
Many recipients appear deeply relaxed during a session, and guardians often notice a sense of calm or emotional ease afterwards.
Distance Reiki works in the same way, without the need to be physically together. I focus my
intention on the recipient, which acts as a point of connection. Just as stress, emotions, or
environmental influences can affect humans and animals regardless of distance, supportive
intention can also be shared across distance. The recipient does not need to do anything, other than be open to receive it.
I offer a free phone consultation to discuss your needs.
In essence everyone can benefit from Reiki, but it is incredibly powerful in assisting the recipient into a more
relaxed state.
